About the Club

The Edmonton Fencing Club was founded in 1930 by a group of dedicated volunteers and enthusiasts. At the time, fencing was relatively unknown in Edmonton, but the founders' passion for the sport was contagious, and it quickly began to grow in popularity. Today, we are proud to be one of the largest and most active fencing clubs in the country.

We offer a wide range of fencing programs and classes, suitable for both recreational and competitive fencers. Whether you are just starting out or are an experienced competitor, we have the resources and expertise to help you reach your full potential. From group lessons to private coaching and competitive opportunities, we have something for everyone.

As a registered not-for-profit organization, we strive to make fencing accessible to everyone in our community. We believe that fencing is more than just a sport, it's also an art, and a great way to stay active and have fun.

Our facility includes:

  • 5,000 square feet

  • 10 electric pistes

  • Hardwood gym floors & metal pistes

  • Ample free parking

  • Showers and change rooms
